Dark Dragon Kenpo™ Long Distance Learning/Home Study Course

Dark Dragon Kenpo™ Set 1 will be available as a set providing the basics and techniques for Yellow Belt through Green Belt. Upon the student achieving what he/she believes to be a good proficiency level, the student will then submit for review, a VHS video of themselves performing all of the techniques (yellow thru green) on another person. The video will be evaluated and if correction is required, then that information will be provided to the student for practice and re-submission of the video. When the techniques are performed correctly, then the green belt and certificate will be awarded signifying their advancement in the submission. At that time, the student may purchase the next media in the series.
All subsequent belt levels will be done on an individual basis, e.g., the next media to be purchased will be the 3rd degree brown belt, student makes a video, submits same for testing, when successful, the brown belt is awarded with certificate, then the 2nd degree brown belt media is purchased, the requirements for advancement are met, then the 1st degree brown belt media is purchased, requirements are met for advancement, then 1st degree black and so on.
As an added benefit, if your training partner wishes to learn the system at the same time as the purchaser, instructions are included as to how your partner can “share” in your learning by paying a test fee. Details are included with your set.

Media for the rank of 3rd degree Brown belt and up will be available, upon completion of the yellow through Green series. All the upper rank belt videos will be $24.95 (1 DVD) plus shipping ($5).
There are no test fees for the ranks through 1st Degree Brown. The black belt test fee will be based on the student’s desires, such as an embroidered black belt, etc. The base black belt test which will include a plain black belt, and rank certificate (unframed) will be $35.00. If the student wishes the standard embroidered black belt which has “dark dragon” on one side and “guardian warrior” on the other side in red Chinese calligraphy, the cost will be dependent on embroidery cost at the time of the successful completion of the test. Should the student want something else on his or her belt, the cost will be dependent on what is going on the belt. The standard Dark Dragon embroidered Black Belt, depending on size, is usually in stock. Custom belts will take time to accommodate. Dark Dragon Kenpo Rank Ring Design 2

Design 2 is displayed on the bottom. This designs offer the eye of the tiger in a color corresponding to the rank of the practitioner by setting a stone into the eye of the dragon. The eye can be changed as the practitioner advances in rank. This design has an etched, hand carved tiger into the shank of the ring. Each ring is delivered with the remaining color stones needed through black belt which is a red stone unless otherwise specified. All artwork on the ring is done in black except if the practitioner is a black belt. The standard black belt ring has the word “Kenpo” done in red, unless otherwise specified.For rings with only the eye stone set: For rings with multiple extra stones for setting as you progress: call us as it will depend on the number of stones you need.

The ring has the Dark Dragon Kenpo™ crest with a dragon head on the top and the oval encompassed flame as the bottom part of the crest. On one side is a full length oriental style dragon and on the other in Chinese lettering “Warrior”. All artwork is done in black with the exception of the flame and lettering which are in red. The shank of the ring has a full tiger carved into the entire shank. Our most popular Kenpo ring.
Samurai Silver Ring

The Samurai ring has a tsuba on the top with the hitsu or holes in the tsuba cut out. The kanji says “The life giving sword” in red. On one side is the kiku or chrysanthemum like those used on the tangs of the swordsmiths granted its use by the Emperor. On the other side is a standing samurai holding his katana. The artwork is done in black, except for the kanji.
